Why is SSH / Telnet Disabled?

SSH and Telnet are disabled from the servers for a few reasons:

  1. Security, security, security!
  2. System Resources
  3. Cpanel Replaces the need for SSH / Telnet

The reasons mentioned above are straight-forward. We do not offer SSH and Telnet because of security and the fact that Cpanel has so many features, including simple network tools, CRON job management and more, that you don't need SSH or Telnet.

We go all the way when it comes to security on our servers. We do not want you or anyone else to be compromised by the wrong-doing of other people, or the lack of knowledge using these tools. Therefore, the best solution is to disable them and provide a more secure method of allowing people to manage their web hosting services: cPanel.
